December 7th – Holiday Open House
Like stepping into an antique Christmas Card, Strathearn Park & Museum will be beautifully decorated this Season for you to enjoy.
Pose with Santa for a family photo. Enjoy the sounds of the Season with the Sinaloa Middle School Choir, Harpist – Elaine Lister, the Methodist Church Bell Ringers and the Channel Islands Harmony Chorus.
Antique cars and tractors will be on display and our historic buildings will be open for you to enjoy.
The Simi Store will also be open where you can shop for vintage and antique treasures and other special gifts.
This event is provided free of charge by the Simi Valley Historical Society.
Event Time – 11:00am to 2:00pm.

This holiday season, fans of “Little House on the Prairie” are invited to step back into the warmth of Walnut Grove at the Little House on the Prairie Cast Reunion, taking place December g12–14, 2025, at Strathearn Historical Park in Simi Valley, California. Presented by Visit Simi Valley and Prairie Legacy Productions, this three-day celebration offers a rare chance to meet beloved cast and crew members while enjoying festive holiday traditions.
Scheduled to appear are Little House favorites including Karen Grassle (Caroline Ingalls), Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson), Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder), Charlotte Stewart (Miss Beadle), Rachel Greenbush (Carrie Ingalls), Ketty Lester (Hester-Sue Terhune), Patrick Labyorteaux (Andy Garvey), Pamela Roylance (Sarah Carter), Stan Ivar (John Carter), David Friedman (Jason Carter), Jennifer Donati (Baby Rose Wilder), and many more—including the children of Victor French.
The weekend promises something for everyone: cast meet-and-greets, autographs, photo opportunities, screenings of holiday episodes, and a special showing of the new documentary “Little House Homecoming” (a separate ticket is required). Families can enjoy Santa visits, holiday caroling, tree decorating, cookies, cider, and guided tours of Strathearn Park’s historic buildings.
VIP tickets add even more magic with access to exclusive cast presentations, a holiday party, breakfast with the cast, and a special edition tote bag.

The 4th Sunday of Every Month
Join us at Strathearn Historical Park every 4th Sunday for a Chumash presentation with Nancy Kidd.
Presentation runs about one hour in the Visitors Center begins at 1:20pm.
