For Entertainment we have two amazing bands!

October 3rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm we have The Brandon Ragan Project.

  • The Brandon Ragan Project is a standout 7-piece funk, blues, Motown, and R&B group based out of the Ventura and Los Angeles areas.
  • We’ve built a solid regional reputation for high-energy live shows, bringing a mix of tight grooves, soul, and jazz-infused improvisation that gets crowds up and dancing.
  •  What Makes the Project Stand Out
  •  Southern Roots Meets SoCal Groove: Front man Brandon Ragan originally hails from Talladega, Alabama, bringing gospel-jazz influence and soulful saxophone chops into Southern California’s beachside venue scene.
  •  Deep Musicianship: The lineup packs serious veteran talent. Across drums, bass, keys, guitar, and vocals, the members bring decades of combined experience backing major industry names and performing across local staples.
  •  Versatile Repertoire: Their sets seamlessly bridge classic funk anthems, smooth R&B covers, lowdown blues, and dance-heavy Motown hits.

October 4th from 10:00am to 3:00pm we have the Vanise Terry Band

  • Vanise Terry Band (VTB) is a classic rock cover band that redefines the genre with a fierce and talented female lead singer at the helm. With a captivating blend of nostalgia and modern energy, VTB pays homage to legendary rock anthems while infusing them with their own unique style.
  • The powerful vocals of frontwoman Vanise Terry bring new life to timeless hits. She is backed by guitarist Eric Barnett of legendary Iron Butterfly, local favorite with a smile Michael Velasquez on bass, John Tarascio rocking on drums, and featuring Steve Jacobsen on keys. Get ready to rock out and dance on a musical journey that feels both familiar and exhilarating.

Splendid Teapot Racing

John Bollman has been an avid steampunk since attending the very first California Steampunk convention in 2008. Cheering on splendid teapot racers for the first time in 2017 planted a seed that has grown from creating his first winning racer, Steamer Joe, into building obstacles, amassing a loaner fleet, and hosting races throughout NorCal and SoCal.

John loves the creativity, positive spirit, and audience participation that surrounds teapot racing.  Everyone young and old, can join in on the excitement of a race.

At Steampunk at Strathearn, I will have a course of fun and challenging obstacles set up each day. For those bringing their own teapot racers, and attendees who would like give racing a spin, there will be multiple demonstrations and open practice sessions.  To finish off each day, timed races will be run with each day’s champion taking home a trophy.
