I was born and raised
in Pittsburgh, PA but have lived in California since 1983 so I
guess that makes me a Native Californian. I have lived in Santa
Clarita, Escondido, Sacramento, Santa Margarita and Garden Grove
and now reside in the beautiful Simi Valley. I have been marred
to my wife for 30 years and have one wonderful daughter who is
an aspiring costume designer. I have had two careers over 35 years, in the insurance industry and the senior financial services industry. I am an accomplished public speaker and sometimes community theater actor. I enjoy reading, music, computers and travel. My family and I have vacationed in Europe and Australia as well as a great deal of the United States. I was a History major in college and have always had a love of history. I especially enjoy learning about local history because it is the real foundation of the acts and situations of normal people that transformed into our state and national history. I recently became a docent and feel privileged to share the stories of these pioneers who helped build Simi from a rancho into the city it is today. I really enjoy experiencing the sense and aroma of the structures of Strathearn Park Tom |
